You can use whichever menus you want to on a DVD. What program are you using to author? With DVD-lab it's pretty simple to change the menu background from menu page to menu page -- you just drag-and-drop the background image onto the menu editor.

I want to be able to have all the menus on the same disc, I'm pretty confident that I can pick and choose just the one, but why not go for them all? 
It seems to be a bit tricky though.

Well, I don't know how to do that, but hopefully you'll figure it out. I wouldn't mind trading for your version whenever you finish it. Glad you like the artwork.
