Hello all,
I'm starting a Metallica tattoo for my lower right leg that will consist of lady justice (and justice for all) on the right side, electric chair (ride the lightning) on the left side, Damage, Inc. skull (favorite song) back middle, hand and hammer (kill em all) top back, each will have a broken border. The empty spaces between the borders will be filled in with crosses from Master Of Puppetts, and a coffin somewhere in the crosses for Death Magnetic. This will be a wrap around covering the entire lower leg from knee to ankle.
My only concern is kill em all art. On the album cover I have it shows the hand seperate from the hammer. On the shirt I have it shows the hand holding the hammer. Can anyone shed some light on this? What the difference is and why? As we all know tats are permanent so I want to make sure I got the right one.... or if it really matters.
Oh ya.... lady justice was done yesterday, just have to go back for a little white fill in, in a couple weeks. I will continue to post in progress pics to this thread as they heal..... as non healed tattoos always look chitty in pics.

I would say it doesn't particularly matter. Both are official designs. The album cover only has the hand's shadow over the hammer, but the hand clenching the hammer, like on the shirt, might look better as a tattoo. So it's really just a matter of choosing whichever design you like the best.

these were taken when they were fresh so there is a little redness. I have not had any work done since November, I'm thinking it's almost time for more. Maybe the ride the lightning chair next, or something that symbolizes the Ride the Lightning album.
